Join Wilsons Abel Tasman for an extra special cruising day trip into the magical Tonga Island Marine Reserve and beyond.
Let Wilsons Abel Tasman take you on a spectacular journey.
Cruise the Abel Tasman golden granite coast into Tonga Island Marine Reserve, then land at an idyllic beach to walk along the famous coastal track. From Kaiteriteri, travel in style and comfort aboard the Vista Cruise into the Marine Reserve. Pause to view the antics at Tonga Island Seal Colony, and then cruise past remote northern beaches fringed by lush rainforest.
Turning around at the long, golden sands of Totaranui, return to historic Tonga Quarry Beach to start your walk. A gentle climb takes you over a beautiful forested saddle, leading to the waterfall trail around the stunning Bark Bay Inlet. Relax or take a swim at Bark Bay before a walk to picturesque Medlands Beach to rejoin the cruise back to Kaiteriteri.

Totally worth it!
OMG - thank you! We enjoyed the commentary and boat ride out to Tōtaranui and then we got dropped off at Tonga Quarry and walked back to Medland Bay (only took 1 1/2 hr and I am not fit at all - a few steep parts but well worth the puffing) stopped into the toilet at Barker Bay (clean and flushing). We can’t wait to come back again and do a longer walk (actually disappointed I didn’t book the 4 hr hour walk). Can’t wait to come back next year!!
Absolutely stunning scenery. Easy to book, excellent facilities, impeccable timing of trip drop off and pick up. Warm and friendly guides. Beautiful walk through the forest ... well worth every penny, can't rate it highly enough.
This is a must do for anyone wanting to see the whole Abel Tasman coast and can manage a bit of a walk. Definitely not for anyone with poor mobility as the 4.4km track walk is steep and sandy surface/stones. The boat is tip top condition, crew were great, weather wasn't the best, and even so we had a great value full day out.

Croisière + marche
À la réflexion croisière un peu longue... mais c'est ce que j'avais choisi... Marche qui se fait bien avec des enfants de 8 et 11 ans qui couraient devant! Chemin bien balisé
