Located on the waterfront of Auckland City at Ōkahu Bay, Kelly Tarlton's is home to thousands of marine animals including the world's largest Sub-Antarctic penguin colony exhibit, sharks, stingrays, jellyfish, seahorse, turtles and more.
Showcasing over 30 live animal displays and hands-on exhibits there is plenty to learn and see making this a fun day out the whole family will enjoy.
Enjoy amazing views of the majestic King Penguins and be entertained by the playful Gentoo Penguins at the Antarctic Ice Adventure. This is New Zealand's only colony of Sub-Antarctic penguins allowing you the rare opportunity to get up close to these magnificent birds.
Take a stroll through the Shark Tunnel where you will have 4 different shark species swimming above and beside you. This is the first curved aquarium tunnel in the world which has now been replicated in aquariums across the globe.
Your kids will love the hands-on experience at the Tidal Touch Pools and the Amazing Creations room where they can draw their own sea creature and have it come to life on a screen. The indoor playground Shipwreck Shores is a big hit with children providing a safe and fun play experience.

Penguins!

Great experience
Mum is visiting NZ for the second time and we had the opportunity and to take her to see the pingüins, she loved it and all the aquarium experience

Feedback
No one mentioned or reported to us that the place will be closing earlier than usual days. Very upset. We are paying from our pocket and would like to have full enjoyment. Was not able to fulfill our desire. Very disappointed.

Great value and awesome experience
We purchased the after 3pm entry for $20.50 and was stoked to get great discount and as always, great experience.

Awesome
Had the best time today at Kelly Tarltons. It was so clean even right down to the bathrooms that we used. The staff were all friendly. The activities they had for my 4 year old was great. He had the best day and his favorite part was creating his own fish and then seeing it come to life on the big screen. I also loved how I got free digital copies of our photos that we took upon arrival. Love the different range of activities and things to see for the kids. Have made some wholesome memor today. Thank you so much
