Embark on an extraordinary journey through the magnificent Kiwi Park, a 5-acre oasis in the bustling heart of Queenstown.
A family-owned and operated wildlife centre in the heart of Queenstown, dedicated to saving our endangered wildlife species. We have over 20 species of native wildlife, including New Zealand’s national icon, the Kiwi and our living fossil, the Tuatara.
The Kiwi Park is set in beautifully landscaped native bush and is the perfect place for a relaxed break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Queenstown.
By visiting Kiwi Park you are directly supporting our conservation efforts!
Chill out in our cafe and browse our gift shop, where a portion of proceeds go towards our conservation work.
Kiwi Encounter
Enjoy an unforgettable experience viewing Kiwi while learning about these fascinating birds from our professional wildlife team. Our specially designed nocturnal Kiwi House will provide you with the best Kiwi viewing in the country.
Times:
10am, 11am, 12:15pm, 1pm, 2:15pm, 3pm, 4:15 pm & 5pm (Oct- April)
10 am, 12.15pm, 1pm, 2pm, 3.45pm & 4.30 pm (May-Sep)
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before Kiwi Encounter, subject to availability.
Maximum occupancy in Kiwi House 50 people.
Kiwi House open at all times outside Kiwi Encounters for viewing.

seltenen vögel Neuseelands sehen
Man kann so viele der seltenen Vögel Neuseelands sehen. Sogar bei manchen in die Voliere gehen. Z.b Kiwis / kea / kakas sind dort zu Bestaunen. Die Shows sind auch ne Empfehlung. Viel Wissenswertes wird vermittelt (Englisch)

Für Vogelliebhaber ein schöner Ausflug
Das Personal war sehr nett und hat gerne Fragen zu den Tieren und der Arbeit im Tierschutz. Die Tiere sahen zufrieden aus und manche waren sehr interessiert an den besuchern. Der Park hat eine angenehme Größe, sodass man sich auf jedes Tier konzentrieren kann ohne zu ermüden.

netter Ausflug
sehr nett angelegter Park mit vielen verschiedenen Vogelarten; das Highlight waren aber natürlich die Kiwis, die man in den Kiwihäusern beobachten kann (als wir dort waren gab es insgesamt 4 Kiwis, aber nur 2 haben sich gezeigt), während der Kiwifütterung bekommt man einiges an interessanten Infos über die Kiwis und auch über das Kiwiprogramm im Park erzählt (die Kiwis werden nämlich- wenn möglich- wieder in die freie Wildbahn entlassen, nachdem sie sich von Verletzungen erholt haben oder die Jungen groß und schwer genug sind); der Eintrittspreis ist recht teuer- obwohl wir durch book.me etwas gespart haben- da dieser aber natürlich auch dem Kiwiprogramm zu Gute kommt, hat man etwas Sinnvolles unterstützt; trotzdem würde ich den Besuch im Kiwi Birdlife Park empfehlen, vor allem wenn man nicht nur Action in Queenstown sucht
